About this space
Guest access + _
Guests have full and sole use of their penthouse. Aside from the washer/dryer, the rooftop pool, terrace and outside seating areas are amenities shared with guests of the 2nd penthouse.
The space + _
(Please note that the pool is currently unavailable due to repairs, which will necessitate occasionally having workmen on the rooftop pool terrace. Most happy to host guests before work is completed but wanted to ensure potential guests are aware. A discount to compensate guests has been offered).
This magnificent Caribbean getaway, incredibly spacious with high end finishes, is ideal for the discerning holiday maker or business traveler as it offers a plethora of amenities in an unparalleled setting. Enjoy white sandy beaches with crystal clear turquoise waters during the day, late nights out sampling rum and local dishes then lazy mornings in, waking up to spectacular views of the ocean, its varying hues carefully framed by oversized doors, an expansive rooftop pool terrace with multiple seating areas or an air conditioned, upper-level tower.
Our fully equipped modern kitchen seamlessly integrates with the open plan living room and dining area. The space exudes a sense of style and sophistication. Whether you're preparing a culinary masterpiece or simply enjoying a quiet meal on the pool terrace, the ambiance is perfect for every occasion.
After a day in the sun, mixing with locals or exploring the island, retreating to the sizeable yet stylish master suite, which features a lavish king size bed, a walk-in closet, double vanity sinks and an elegant walk-in shower, offers a luxurious escape.
For those mixing business with pleasure, a private office provides a dedicated space to stay connected. The modern entertainment system, featuring 55” flat screen TVs and an impressive audio system, inclusive of five poolside speakers accessible via Bluetooth, ensures that downtime will adequately compensate for remote work.
The entire space has a zoned HVAC system, such that the office, living room and bedroom can each have their own climates.
Downstairs, a locally owned gourmet store awaits, featuring a specially curated range of wines, spirits, chocolates and meats along with a coffee shop (Starbucks) and in the coming months, a bakery.
Please note that Penthouse 1 has only a kingsize bed but the office can be used as a second bedroom and travel cots for children can be sourced at cost, on request. This allows for 4 persons (2 adults + 2 children) to stay.
Other things to note + _
The government has imposed a 10% Shared Economy Levy that all Airbnb properties are required to charge.

Getting around + _
Your stay can be as adventurous or relaxing as you like. And getting around will be the least of your worries!
Private Transportation
In order to see the true charm of the island, I always recommend renting a car for at least 2-3 days. This allows you to see places you may not on tours, and at your own pace. It also gives you one other reason to interact with Bajans if you get lost 🙂
Public Transportation
The South Coast Main Road is the main artery in the south. From here you can get buses that run all the way past Oistins to the airport and on to the world famous Crane Beach (rated 1 of the top 10 beaches in the world for its spectacular view from the Crane Resort & Residences, where you can have lunch) in the east, and to the capital Bridgetown in the west.
There are large blue government buses, many now electric and air conditioned (you will need exact change), medium sized yellow private buses and small white private vans (called ZR vans and definitely an experience since you can occasionally get packed in like sardines, sitting next to locals who will happily start a conversation with you about anything! We Bajans, as Barbadians are affectionately known, are incredibly friendly and has resulted in Barbados having one of the highest visitor return rates of any country in the world).
With all these options, you can get a ride within minutes (if not seconds) of getting to the bus stop. And all public transit radiates from Bridgetown so once there aside from duty free shopping and restaurants, you can further travel to any part of the island.
